Thank you so much for my gift in advance! Please know that I will absolutely adore anything that you gift me and though I am going to provide more likes/dislikes and some general prompts further down, please feel free to combine prompts, or ignore them completely if you get inspired in a different direction! I’m Nemainofthewater on AO3 and most other fandom spaces.

I am very open to comics as well as fic, and am always grateful for treats!

Please go wild – I will literally adore anything that you make me. I am also open for treats if anyone feels so inclined! If you want to do something experimental (a series of drabbles, interactive fiction, art, etc…) I will be delighted to see it!

 

Things I like:

-Found family! I really love team-as-family, slice of life type stories where everything may be difficult (or not!) but at least they have each other

-I love angst. Please put my blorbos through The Horrors ™  . I would prefer to have a glimmer of hope at the end, but honestly, I am also very happy for all knives all the time so long as appropriately tagged

-Adventures: I love case fics or adventures where the characters work together to solve a problem. It doesn’t have to be anything important! Problem solving is wonderful at all levels, whether it’s something large like overtaking an empire or small like hunting for the perfect cake. Bonus for characters displaying unexpected knowledge/skills, or just being good at their jobs and their team appreciating that

-some canon divergence AUs or role reversal (although on the whole I am not a fan of college/high school AUs). I really like time travel and time loops as well as ‘for want of a nail’ type stories. Modern day AUs are a little hit or miss for me; sometimes I love them and sometimes it really takes me out of the story? I am fond of the type of modern day AUs that preserve the fantastical elements (ie, cultivation in the modern world type thing!)

-characters who don’t take care of themselves being gently bullied into sleeping/eating/resting, or just generally just looking after themselves. I am a huge fan of the ‘perfect mask much work until I collapse’ type character, especially when there are others around to take care oof them before/when they eventually collapse.

-food or creating things as a love language (platonic or romantic)

-OT3s to solve love triangles

-people appreciating other people’s competencies!

-multimedia! (meta, articles, etc). Outsider POV is also something that I love and if you feel intrigued by adding that and/or any multimedia bits please indulge yourself!

-identity porn

-wingfic, especially wingfic that looks at the practical things associated with wings/the (pseudo)biology/the social implications…

-survival stories? I don’t know how to characterise this. Kind of the ‘trapped on a desert island’ kind of thing where everyone has to work together and bring out their various specialities and intelligence to build a home. The kind of domestic slice of life type thing only with having to literally establish their own settlement type thing

 

 

DNWs: sibling (biological or otherwise) incest, underage (as defined by explicit sexual content from characters under 16), character bashing (out of universe: it doesn’t count if characters don’t like each other in canon, for example), racism*, sexism*, homophobia*, aphobia, transphobia, mundane Aus (eg university/college, coffee shop)

*Canon typical mentions are ok, but please don’t make the whole work about it and please don’t insert it if it wasn’t already there

Please don’t let the length or the brevity of any of the prompts make you think I would like to receive one request more than the others – I would adore anything

The Legend of Shen Li - Shen Li, Xing Yun | Xing Zhi

-I would love to see something set in their courtyard inhabiting days, whether that is in the early arc when Shen Li is a chicken and Xing Yun is a mortal, or post canon

-Does Xing Zhi get kidnapped? He could escape (probably) but isn’t it nicer to wait to be rescued? The kidnappers, on the other hand, are having a terrible time. Please take him back Bicang-wangye

-Xing Zhi is now just an immortal, but he used to be more. Many, many unscrupulous people want to take advantage of that

- Shen Li might be one of my favourite characters in cdrama, please tell me more about her. Put her in Situations™.  And Xing Zhi He is so blorbo shaped. So full of potential angst.

-I think an AU where Shen Li signs Furong’s contract and they decide they are going to be platonically married would be hilarious, because then Xing Zhi has to grapple with the fact he got what he wanted but actually no this is terrible

 

Devil Venerable Also Wants to Know - Qiu Congxue,  Baili Qingmiao,  Zhongli Qian, Worldbuilding

Please feel free to write different subsets of these characters in any combination you desire.

-Post-canon – Zhongli Qian is finally leaving, except no one wants to let him leave. Can one be elected the leader of a demonic sect? And why has Baili Qingmiao been dragged into this?

-What adventures did our intrepid explorers have during those 30 years of travelling the jianghu?

-Zhongli Qian worked hard to get out from his family’s expectations. What was that like for him?

-Zhongli Qian and Baili Qingmiao are linked – what does that mean for them? They seemed like true friends – how did that come to pass? What was it like getting to know each other?

 

 

Joy of Life - Chen Pingping, The Emperor, Fan Jian

-The Emperor, Chen pingping, and Fan Jian have such divorced energy. Tell me about them! How did they get together? Are they still together? Did Ye Qingmei’s death change things? How did it change things? Tell me about this terrible polycule! The love was there, but omg did it make everything worse.

-At point while watching the show, I had a lot of fun adding ‘in bed’ to all the dialogue between Chen Pingping and the Emperor – what are different points between scenes where this could happen?

-I am also a huge fan of the incredibly awkward family dinners; if you manage to work those into any gift I will be ecstatic!

 

 

Mysterious Lotus Casebook – Yun Biqiu, Li Lianhua

-Tell me about Baichuan court. When was it established. What as it like? How did they decide who the court masters would be (and YBQ is my blorbo but since it’s known to the court masters that he poisoned their sect leader, how is he still second court master?)

-Tell me about Sigu Sect! How did they recruit? Who were the first people to join? How did it become so powerful so quickly?

-Yun Biqiu is my blorbo. He is…so soggy. Also full of guilt, that I don’t think will get any better when he realises that LLH used the last of his energy to heal him before leaving to die. Please do either nice things or terrible things to him.

 

 

Story of Kunning Palace – Xie Wei, Zhang Zhe, Jiang Xuening

-Is there an instance where all three of them have to work together? How does it go? I find the dynamic between the three of them very funny, especially since there would probably be a lot of misery or at least awkwardness

 

 

Love and Redemption – Chu Xuanji, Yu Sifeng

-Give me anything about any of their previous lives! It all looks very interesting

-Ok, but it got very queer very quickly at the end. Please tell me more about Xuanji, Sifeng, and Luohou Jidu at any point of the series, pre-series, or post-series

-What does post-canon look like? Has there been any integration with Lize Palace?
